The ideal candidate will have approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience supporting the design and coordination and delivery of ICT physical infrastructure, with a focus on structured cabling systems, cable containment and pathways, riser coordination, equipment rack layouts, IT/communications room planning and telecommunication passive infrastructure. Responsible for supporting the integrating communications network infrastructure across large-scale infrastructure projects, data centres, smart campuses, and mixed-use developments of varying complexity and scale
This role will focus on the production and coordination of design and construction deliverables including drawings, specifications, reports and technical studies related to ICT physical infrastructure. The candidate will support ICT design leads in multidisciplinary coordination, site activities and construction-stage support, while developing technical capability within a regional delivery environment.
Candidates from related backgrounds such as ELV systems, multidisciplinary BIM coordination or construction coordination are also encouraged to apply, with support provided to transition into ICT infrastructure delivery.
The Opportunity
- Support ICT design leads in delivering ICT infrastructure packages for assigned projects
- Undertake production of ICT design deliverables ensuring compliance with relevant standards, specifications and project requirements
- Support the design and coordination of structured cabling systems and supporting infrastructure including pathways, containment and ICT equipment rooms
- Prepare drawings, BIM models, schedules and technical documentation under supervision
- Participate in multidisciplinary coordination with architectural, structural, MEP and specialist teams
- Support preparation of tender documentation, technical specifications and design reports
- Assist in QA processes through self-checking and coordination reviews
- Participate in technical meetings and follow up on assigned actions
- Support construction-stage activities including responding to queries, reviewing shop drawings and assisting with site coordination where required
- Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders as directed
- Support responses for Digital / ICT opportunities

Is this role right for you?
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Degree in Information Communication Technology related
- Relevant industry experience with a focus on structured cabling systems, ICT Infrastructure or ELV related discipline within a consulting engineering business.
- Experience with structured cabling systems (copper and fibre optic), cable containment and pathways, room spatial planning and coordination/integration with other building services infrastructure
- Basic understanding of building services interfaces for ICT systems (power, cooling, fire protection system, and controls etc.)
- Basic understanding of ICT networks and topologies.
- Ability to prepare technical design documentation such as calculation, user schematics, layout drawings, specifications, models etc.
- Experience in multidisciplinary coordination activities
- Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership
- Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines.
- Exposure on campus, infrastructure or data centre projects
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and coordination tools
- Exposure to related building technology systems (wireless, sensing, AV, etc.)
- Professional development towards industry certifications (e.g. BICSI).
Candidates without direct ICT background but with ELV, BIM coordination, multidisciplinary design coordination or construction management experience and a strong willingness to transition into ICT infrastructure delivery are encouraged to apply
