The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maritime Engineer to join our growing Maritime Team. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of port, maritime and coastal infrastructure projects, contributing to technically challenging work that has real impact.

You will support the delivery of maritime projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and directly with clients. The role includes maritime engineering design, project management of small to medium‑sized commissions, and providing responsive technical advice to colleagues across Arup.

You will have opportunities to develop your technical and project management skills, contribute to innovation in maritime infrastructure, and support the development of younger engineers. • Experience in the design of heavy civils and/or maritime structures, with knowledge of Eurocodes and BS 6349

  • Exposure to project management for small to medium‑sized engineering projects, delivering work on time and within budget

  • Experience working directly with clients and contributing to trusted technical advice

  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work in teams, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
