Our Energy team in Türkiye plays a key role in supporting the transition towards a more resilient, low-carbon energy future. We work across a wide range of projects including renewable energy generation, battery energy storage systems (BESS), transmission and distribution infrastructure, industrial decarbonisation and energy strategy. As part of a global network of energy specialists, the team collaborates closely with multidisciplinary experts across Europe and the wider Arup business to deliver complex and impactful projects.

The Opportunity

This is your chance to be parte of the Energy Team that works with public and private clients in a variety of energy projects. The successful candidate will be able to work under the supervision of senior leaders.

As a Senior Energy Engineer at Arup, you will:

· Prepare designs, drawings, calculations, and BoQs

· Prepare calculations and reports in concept, preliminary, and detail design stages in one of the energy discipline areas.

· Prepare technical due diligence and energy yield assessment reports.

· Identify and understand customer’s needs according to the technical specifications provided.

· Carry out and assist the proposal preparation process.

· Supporting business development and maintaining client relationships.

· Maintain technical interaction with all project team members and external consultants to deliver projects on time and to budget with quality output.

Does this role inspire you?

We are looking for someone proactive and dynamic who is willing to be part of the Energy Team in Turkey. Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electrical Electronics, Energy Systems or Mechanical Engineering from reputable universities.

• Master degree in Energy field is preferable.

• Excellent command of English both written and verbal.

• At least 10 years of design and advisory experience in renewable energy (especially solar and /or wind power plants) and BESS projects in Türkiye or abroad.

• Professional experience in technical due diligence services is a plus.

• Working experience in multinational and English-speaking environment.

• Ability to interface and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

• Effective communication and presentation skills.

• Team player, result-oriented with strong planning and organization skills.

• Ability to develop and maintain good relationship with the clients, willing to grow in an international environment.

• Excellent knowledge of Turkish and International energy codes, regulations and processes.

• Motivated, initiative, interested in technical topics.

• Available to work flexible hours.

• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, windPRO, PVSyst or similar applications.

• No travel restrictions (national & international).

• For male candidates military service must be completed.
