The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an experienced CAD & BIM Technician to join our multi-disciplinary team. Our projects are local, regional, and international and will allow you to work and succeed in a multi-cultural business environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a passion for technical excellence, who enjoys working collaboratively in multi-professional design teams and nurturing technical skills across team.

Preparing of engineering drawings and modelling activities for the MEP team, this includes all aspects of a project from scheme stage to the final details.

Working closely with the Project Manager and discipline engineers to define deliverables schedules and implementing these within the model. Supporting the project team with technical delivery using Revit and other BIM related software.

Modelling of a range of MEP services, including but not limited to mechanical pipework, ventilation, lighting, power, containment and drainage. Coordination of services using Revit and Navisworks. Drawing production of modelled elements. Producing high quality work that is accurate and meets quality standards. Demonstrate an ability to communicate through sketching, drawing, presentations, and writing. Mentoring junior members of the team.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for individuals with the following experience –

· Diploma/Certificate in Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical from Technical Institute(s) or equivalent.

· Relevant experience in using computer tools for drafting and/or BIM modelling, e.g. AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, Dynamo, Navisworks will be an advantage.

· Experience withing the building services industry (consultancy or contractor).

· Good understanding of model and drawing production using Revit MEP.

· Experienced in preparation of drawings and models with limited input from engineers, using own experience to develop output from sketches provided by engineers.

· Knowledge of MEP systems and how services should be routed and coordinated to a design level of detail. Ability to communicate technical issues to co-professional, contractors and clients.
