You will work on a diverse portfolio of architectural lighting projects including hospitality, mixed-use, commercial, civic, education, landscape, facade and night-time experience developments. This role suits a self-managed designer with strong visual and technical capability, confident communication skills and a passion for creating meaningful human experiences through light.

The Opportunity

· Develop lighting concepts, design narratives, calculations, specifications and technical documentation across all project stages, from concept through construction support.

· Deliver defined packages of lighting work while coordinating closely with architects, interior designers, landscape architects, engineers and sustainability specialists.

· Prepare lighting simulations and technical assessments using tools such as DIALux evo, AGi32, Radiance or equivalent, ensuring quality, visual comfort and maintainability.

· Support project coordination, presentations, site reviews, mock-ups and client engagements while contributing to a collaborative regional design culture.

· Assist with practice development activities including bids, capability statements, knowledge sharing and the advancement of specialist lighting expertise across SEA projects.

Is this role right for you?

· Relevant qualifications and experience in lighting design, architecture, interior design, industrial/product design or a related discipline, with a strong portfolio demonstrating design and technical capability.

· Solid understanding of architectural lighting principles including ambience, glare control, visual comfort, materiality, energy efficiency and maintainability.

· Proficiency in DIALux evo, Revit/BIM and AutoCAD, with additional experience in AGi32, Radiance, Rhino, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or visualisation tools considered advantageous.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to present ideas clearly and work effectively within multidisciplinary and regional teams.

· A proactive, organised and commercially aware mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality project delivery under pressure.
