The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Belgrade, Serbia, supporting the delivery of complex infrastructure and asset-related projects for a range of clients.
The role focuses on providing strong project management across planning, coordination, delivery, and reporting, working closely with client teams and multidisciplinary Arup specialists. Assignments are likely to be a mixture of Serbian-based, regional and international projects.
This is a client-facing role suited to someone who combines practical project delivery expertise with sound judgement, clear communication, and the confidence to operate in complex stakeholder environments.
As a Project Manager at Arup, you will:
· Manage the delivery of medium to large projects, supporting successful outcomes across scope, programme, cost, risk, and quality.
· Establish and maintain clear project controls, reporting structures, and governance arrangements.
· Coordinate activities across client teams and multidisciplinary Arup contributors.
· Support effective stakeholder engagement and day-to-day client liaison.
· Identify and manage project risks and issues, supporting timely decision-making.
· Contribute to repeat business, client relationships, and the continued growth of Arup’s project management capability in Serbia.
Does this role inspire you?
We’re looking for someone who is motivated by delivering complex projects and building trusted client relationships. We also value:
· Preferably more than 10 years’ experience in project management (minimum 8 years)
· Proven delivery experience on infrastructure, utilities, or other asset-intensive projects.
· A consultancy or advisory background, or experience working closely with consultant teams.
· Excellent English language proficiency (written and spoken) at a professional level – essential.
· Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
· Technical understanding of water or infrastructure projects is a n advantage; other technical backgrounds are welcome.
· An internationally recognised PM accreditation is a strong advantage.
