The Opportunity
The Building Envelope and Materials Team is strengthening its technical capability on building envelope to support client management across building sectors in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will operate as a Façade Engineer, providing engineering solution, while working closely with Building Envelope and Materials Team to deliver integrated solutions. The candidate will also contribute to client communication with the team leader.
• Assisting project managers in coordinating project tasks, learning to track project progress, and participating in project meetings and updates.
• Monitor and interpret applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, gaining foundational knowledge in compliance management. Assist in developing compliance strategies and action plans for specific projects or departments, contributing to the overall compliance efforts of the organization.
• Identify primary project stakeholders and their interests, gaining foundational skills in stakeholder management. Assist in developing stakeholder engagement plans to foster positive relationships and basic communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed about project objectives and progress.
• Develop informative presentations for different audiences, striving for clarity and engagement. Organize content logically and utilize visual aids to enhance understanding. Deliver presentations that meet audience needs, focusing on clear communication. Practice public speaking and presentation skills to build confidence
• Collaborate with the team to assist in creating detailed design models and simulations for engineering and architectural projects, gaining foundational knowledge in design modelling.
• Support project teams in visualizing and refining design concepts and contribute to the development of 3D representations using modelling software and tools.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in design models and provide basic support for model reviews and design coordination.

Is this role right for you?
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or structural engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in façade, structural, or building engineering within a consulting environment.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and modelling, with strong skills in preparing technical presentations (PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated practical experience across façade, structural, or building engineering projects.
• Proficiency in Chinese is essential; Cantonese language capability is an advantage.
**Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as an Assistant Engineer.
