The Opportunity

Based in Amsterdam, our Building Services team is undergoing continuing growth and development as it continues to win major work in our sectors.

We continue to implement and develop our integrated building information modelling service (BIM) delivery in order to better serve our clients while continuing to drive improvements in our design quality and remain at the cutting edge of the market.

We currently looking for an experienced Senior BIM Coordinator / BIM Manager to join our team.

Reporting to the BIM management team leader, you will be a key member within this multi-disciplinary and versatile team. Your skills will be instrumental in understanding and delivering high-quality Building Information Models.

As an BIM Coordinator at Arup, you will:

  • Author / Contribute to the projects' BIM Execution Plans (BEP).

  • Set up and manage a Common Data Environment (CDE) for the project teams.

  • Set up project-wide, federated models.

  • Monitor and report on model performance and quality.

  • Prepare and chair Virtual Design Reviews (VDRs).

  • Provide BIM guidance, support, and mentoring to project teams.

Does this role inspire you?

We're looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient individual with a passion for sustainable building design. These are the essential skills and qualifications for the position:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.

  • BIM Coordinator with 8 - 10 years’ experience working within a design & engineering environment in the Netherlands.

  • Degree in Structural Engineering/ Building engineering/ mechanical engineering or equivalent.

  • Proficient in Solibri and/or Navisworks to conduct reviews, visual audits, clash detection and model quality checks.

  • Proficient in Autodesk Forma as CDE for projects.

  • Solid understanding of model and drawing production.

  • Familiarity with industry standards including ISO 19650.

We also value:

  • Proven experience delivering highly complex, large-scale projects.

  • A strong interest in leveraging emerging technologies to enhance efficiency, quality and project delivery.
