Our Bogota office is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join the team!

Responsibilities of this specific role will include, but not be limited to the following:

Conduct business planning, economic, contractual, and/or financial analysis to support infrastructure and P3 advisory assignments

Coordinate work products and deliverables with senior financial, commercial and technical specialists ensuring alignment across multidisciplinary inputs

Support the preparation of technical due diligence and advisory reports for infrastructure projects, particularly in transport, consolidating inputs from engineering, financial, and legal teams

Review and analyze project documentation, including schedules, critical path, designs, costs, permits, land acquisition management, utilities networks management and construction progress, identifying key issues and risks

Contribute to construction and operations (O&M) monitoring activities, including the preparation of periodic reports assessing project performance, technical compliance, and contractual obligations

Analyze construction progress against schedule, technical performance, and compliance with contractual requirements, providing clear conclusions and recommendations

Participate in site visits to verify project progress, construction conditions, and operational performance

Identify and assess technical, contractual, and operational risks, supporting the development of mitigation measures and inputs to risk allocation discussions

Review and synthesize multidisciplinary information (engineering, planning, cost, and permitting) to support integrated technical and commercial assessments

Support financial close processes, including preparation of technical inputs required by lenders, investors, and public stakeholders

Prepare analyses, draw conclusions, and develop recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative assessment of project data

Interact with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, lenders, sponsors, and other consultants, across due diligence and advisory assignments

Support the preparation of proposals and responses to RFPs, contributing technical and commercial content

Develop and maintain strong internal and external networks to support business development and delivery

Conduct market research across infrastructure sectors and communicate findings to support strategic decision-making

Qualifications

Required:

Bilingual (Spanish / English)

Excellent presentation and writing skills in English and Spanish are required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

Strong interest in infrastructure project development, delivery and/or operations

2-4 years of relevant work experience

Knowledge of basic business and operational concepts

Strong quantitative skills with good knowledge of MS Excel.

Proficient in MS Office suite.

The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment

Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working

Presentation skills with colleagues and clients at all levels

Analytical mindset and/or Strategic thinker

Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally

Preferred:

Master's degree Project / Construction Management, Economics, Business or Finance, or similar

Familiarity with project management tools and techniques

Flexibility and Out-of-the-Box innovative thinking

Experience in P3 projects, Project Finance and/or concession schemes

Also:

Additional relevant work or internship experience with a contractor, design firm, or cost consulting firm.

Relevant experience across a variety of project types in both infrastructure and buildings e.g. rail, bridges, tunnels, large office/mixed use etc.

Working understanding of project development process and project finance

Coursework in construction economics or construction management

Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, Primavera 6, Excel Financial Modeling techniques, VBA. Programming languages also a plus.

Strong interest in and passion for working in the transport infrastructure
