The Opportunity
We are seeking a Lighting Designer to help support the growth of our lighting design capability in India, working under our Senior Lighting Designer in India and also working closed with our UK Lighting team. This role combines hands‑on creative and technical design expertise.
The role will be to support our lighting design team in India, UK, Middle East and Africa in project delivery, from concept to design implementation. To succeed in this role, the candidate must have aesthetic sensitivity and a passion for conceptual design. The successful candidate will also have a technical appreciation of the requirements associated with lighting design, including an aptitude for computer modelling and analysis, an appreciation of sustainable design principles and a keen desire to understand and develop their knowledge of different lighting control system topologies
In this role you will be involved in:
Producing design concepts, lighting designs, sketches, graphical output drawings, specifications, artwork designs, proposals, design reports, lighting calculations, and technical lighting control schematics.
Attending meetings with clients and collaborators. Producing specifications and technical reports, environmental impact assessments and co-ordinating the work of others.
Communicating with clients to establish their needs and maintaining a dialogue throughout the project. Supervising and co-ordinating the work of other junior team members and co-ordinating work with building professionals of other disciplines.

Is this role right for you?
We’re looking for candidates with:
· A degree in lighting design, architecture, electrical engineering, or a related field; working towards professional qualification(s) in lighting.
· A portfolio demonstrating creative, human-centric lighting design across diverse project types (interior, exterior, urban, cultural, commercial, etc.).
· Ability to produce and direct high-quality concept designs, sketches, visualisations, reports, specifications, and technical documents.
· Strong skills in lighting software such as DIALux/Relux, CAD/BIM tools (Revit, Rhino), Adobe Creative Suite; Radiance knowledge is a plus.
· Experience in the successful delivery of lighting projects, a fundamental appreciation of lighting consultancy as a technical service.
