Arup's purpose, shared values and collaborative approach has set us apart for 80 years, guiding how we shape a better world. We guide, plan and design the future of the built environment.
We are a global consultancy with extensive technical and advisory expertise. Our project delivery and site supervision team in Istanbul works across a growing portfolio of complex building, infrastructure, and critical facility projects, providing independent engineering oversight and consultancy services on behalf of clients at the construction stage, where quality, compliance, and technical rigour matter most.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Structural Site Inspector, you will provide independent site supervision and engineering consultancy on behalf of clients across our growing project portfolio in Istanbul ensuring that construction works are executed in strict accordance with design documentation, technical specifications, contractual requirements, quality standards, and project schedules.
As a Senior Structural Site Inspector at Arup, you will:
Lead site supervision and quality control, monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, IFC drawings, applicable codes, and contractual requirements; identifying and proactively resolving technical non-conformities, quality defects, and construction risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Inspect structural works in the field, carrying out hands-on inspection and quality control of reinforced concrete and structural steel construction, assessing workmanship, materials, and methodology against approved documentation, and issuing site observations, NCRs, and technical instructions as required.
Lead technical review of construction documentation, reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical specifications; producing clear, timely progress reports and technical recommendations for the client team and project stakeholders.
Act as the client's representative on site, facilitating effective communication between contractors, designers, and the client organisation; resolving interface issues, responding to technical queries, and ensuring all parties are aligned on project requirements and expectations.
Support project governance and commercial oversight, assessing contractors' progress, payment applications, variation orders, claims, and technical compliance throughout project execution, providing the client with clear, evidence-based technical input to support informed project decisions.
