The primary focus of this role is to support the development and enhancement of Arup Acoustics’ capability across Malaysia and the wider Southeast Asia region, including Indonesia and Vietnam. You will contribute specialist acoustics design expertise across a diverse range of projects while helping drive business growth and client engagement. Working closely with regional multidisciplinary teams, you will deliver high-quality technical solutions that support sustainable and commercially successful outcomes.
The Opportunity
· Provide specialist acoustics design input across projects in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the wider Southeast Asia region.
· Manage acoustics projects by coordinating time, quality and cost performance to meet project and commercial objectives.
· Prepare specifications, proposals, reports, presentations and other technical documentation to a high standard.
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and specialist consulting teams across the region to deliver integrated project solutions.
· Support business development and marketing initiatives, strengthen relationships with key clients, and contribute to expanding acoustics opportunities across the region.

Is this role right for you?
· A recognised tertiary qualification in Engineering or Science (such as Acoustics, Physics, Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline).
· At least 3 years of relevant experience providing specialist acoustics design advice within a consulting environment.
· A solid understanding of building acoustics principles and design, with experience in project coordination and project management.
· Strong communication, presentation and report-writing skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
· Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to delivering high-quality outcomes under pressure.
