The Opportunity
Accountant/Assistant Account is responsible for performing a range of bookkeeping and general accounting operations of the companies in APAC region. This includes recording transactions, preparing journals, and reconciling accounts.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for assigned companies.
- Perform daily accounting operations including data input and journal preparation.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, bank accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare monthly prepayment/deposit and accrual journals.
- Record and maintain the fixed assets and depreciation accounts.
- Assist with the monthly and year-end close processes.
- Maintain proper and systematic e-filing system.
- Assist in year-end audit related matters.
- Support the UAT and implementation of future global finance systems and automation.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
Is this role right for you?
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- At least 3-4 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably from MNCs.
- Good knowledge and experience in using JD Edwards, Blackline and/or other ERP accounting systems.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
- Deep analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to details and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently using own initiative and as part of the team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
