The Opportunity
Join our team as a Senior Accountant, supporting financial reporting, payroll, tax compliance, and day-to-day accounting activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with Vietnamese regulations.
Key responsibilities:
- Record and maintain transactions, including expenses, revenues, and journal entries, ensuring proper documentation in local book.
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documents for audits and inspections.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing requested schedules and documentation.
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist in reconciling accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Review payroll, including salaries, overtime, allowances, personal income tax (PIT), and mandatory social, health, and insurance.
- Assist with tax declarations such as VAT and PIT and support year-end tax finalization.
- Prepare and issue VAT invoices accurately and on time.
- Prepare and issue personal income tax (PIT) withholding certificates for employees.
- FCT: Register tax-code, calculate & submit FCT report
- Prepare JDE Journal Entry
- Handle all issues/reports related to Concur & JDE
- Weekly cashflow
- Other tasks as assigned by Chief Accountant
Is this role right for you?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related fields.
- Minimum 5 – 7 years professional accounting experience as a General Accountant
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Experience in and/or flexibility to work with colleagues across time-zones and business cultures
- Able to handle multitasking and demanding workload
- Organized, highly motivated, able to work independently and as a member of a local and international, de-centralised team
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Vietnamese
- Good understanding of tax, corporate requirements in Vietnam.
- Experience in a professional service / consulting business environment would be advantageous.
