The role will lead electrical design delivery for renewable energy developments, with a particular focus on solar farms. Responsibilities will include grid connection design and coordination, electrical balance of plant design, protection systems, SCADA and control systems integration, and technical leadership throughout project delivery. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and network operators to deliver high-quality outcomes. The role also provides opportunities to mentor and develop junior engineers while contributing to the continued growth of our renewable energy capability.
We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer with a strong technical background in renewable energy projects and a collaborative approach to project delivery. Experience working within complex engineering environments is important. Previous experience with Arup systems is not required, as training will be provided. What is essential is adaptability, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to delivering excellent outcomes for our clients.
The Opportunity:
- Lead electrical design delivery for renewable energy projects.
- Deliver grid connection, protection, and SCADA design solutions.

- Mentor and support the development of junior engineers.
- Manage project delivery, quality, programme, and technical risk.

Is this role right for you?
- Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Significant experience delivering renewable energy projects, particularly solar farms.
- Experience with grid connection, protection, and SCADA systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead projects and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
