The Opportunity
As a Senior Cost Manager at Arup, you will:
Prepare feasibility studies, estimates, and cost plans, presenting clear cost advice and recommendations to clients and project teams.
Manage procurement and tendering activities, including pre-qualification, tender documentation, bid analysis, tender reports, and contract documentation.
Oversee post-contract cost management, including valuations, cost checks, change control, cost forecasting, and monthly reporting to maintain commercial oversight.
Support value engineering and financial close-out, identifying opportunities to improve value and negotiating and agreeing final accounts.
Advise clients and collaborate with consultants throughout the project lifecycle, providing accurate and timely commercial input to support informed decisions.

We're looking for someone passionate about cost management and technically excellent engineering solutions. We also value:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil / Industrial Engineering or a related discipline / equivalent qualification
5+ years of experience and strong technical knowledge of cost management, including estimating, cost planning, cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporting.
Experience contributing to cost management commissions, with previous responsibility as Cost Manager on small to medium-sized projects considered an advantage
Good understanding of procurement methods and value engineering, with the ability to apply them appropriately across different project stages
Confident using industry-standard cost management processes, systems, and digital tools to support accurate and efficient project delivery
