The Opportunity

Our Building Performance and Systems team has world-class expertise built on over 30 years of practical experience. We support the full lifecycle of buildings, from concept through construction, operation and feedback, helping clients optimise building performance, reduce operational costs and environmental impact, and improve occupant wellbeing and productivity.

We have an opportunity for a Senior BMS/Controls Engineer to take a key role in the design and delivery of Building Management Systems, with a strong focus on HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) plant control. You will work across new build, refurbishment and post-occupancy projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions across sectors including commercial, transport, financial, healthcare and the arts.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for someone with strong experience leading BMS/Controls design projects, ideally gained within consultancy, contracting or manufacturing environments. You bring a practical approach to problem solving, strong communication skills and the ability to engage with clients, project teams and stakeholders at all levels.

We’d like to hear from you if you:

  • Are a degree qualified engineer, or equivalent experience in the BMS industry in a similar role.
  • Have proven ability to lead BMS/Controls projects and work collaboratively with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) teams.
  • Possess strong client-facing, communication and report-writing skills.
  • Have good people and project management skills, with the ability to mentor and train less experienced engineers.
  • Have commercial awareness and experience managing BMS projects along with interest in buildings in use, energy management, building performance evaluation, post-occupancy evaluation, digital services, and health and wellbeing in operational buildings.
  • Can work on project sites in India, the Middle East and overseas when required.
