Job Description

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be supporting the delivery of a critical initiative by ensuring that the teams are following best practices for software and product development. You will be the process champion and provide critical structure to this project, while ensuring full transparency on progress. As you will be on a cross geographical team, working in a synchronous and asynchronous way will be key to success. This position will be a part of the Enterprise Project Management Office at ATPCO.

You Will:

  • Continuously seek out areas for optimization and improvement and proactively engage in building and implementing solutions, workflows and processes that drive productivity, efficiency and better, more timely information to support business decisions
  • Ensure all strategic initiatives have current business cases and defined success criteria which can be measured
  • Collaborate with product teams to help resolve problems affecting schedule, budget, outcomes
  • Ensure adequate metrics are collected around effort, efficiency, adoption, and quality that can be used in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide mentoring and coaching around lean and agile product development methodologies
  • Help teams express work in terms of assumptions, hypotheses, data collection, and resulting decisions to promote a learning environment centered around objective data and decision making
  • Support the EPMO in maintaining auditing findings and data cleanup efforts
  • Promote continuous improvement through the sharing of knowledge between project management professionals at ATPCO
  • Work with EPMO to align outcomes and measures of success with management tools and outputs
  • Maintain established EPMO best practices of product development and processes to maintain a framework for improving development efforts
  • Support EPMO in established reporting forums by leading data collection and presentation of materials. Ensuring all parties are accounted
  • Enforce process requirements to ensure consistency amongst teams and reporting field information is provided to allow for gathering measures of success for all portfolios
  • Facilitate the framework to resolve cross divisional prioritization conflicts and corporate wide resource planning/balancing
  • Work with development resources allocated by each division, refine reporting automation, and eliminate manual processes
  • Ensure data accuracy to enable visibility to leadership on project priority, milestone approval, timelines, risks, budget, resource allocation, and KPI measurements

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Prior work experience as a project or portfolio manager, product development analyst, project planner, or other agile process-oriented roles in organizations using Lean and Agile product development methodologies, waterfall and iterative methodologies is required
  • Experience in operations and process refinement
  • Understanding of product development life cycles
  • Analytical skills and the ability to convey messages with data driven analysis
  • Experience with product tools – JIRA, AHA, ServiceNow, Confluence
  • Scrum certification or extensive training and certifications in Scrum, Kanban, or Agile practices are a plus
  • Scaled agile certification, or extensive training and experience in a scaled agile environment are a plus

Salary Range: USD $114,000 to $137,650
