Position Overview

The Compliance team seeks a full-time Associate. This position will sit within the firm’s Capital Markets Compliance function and may serve all businesses within Bain Capital, but will have a particular emphasis on Bain Capital Credit, LP and Bain Capital Public Equity, LP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the firm restricted lists and watch lists, which includes documenting any material non-public information that the businesses receive on the appropriate lists.
  • Liaising with the Capital Markets Compliance team, trading desks, and investment staff to lift restrictions and answer time sensitive trading inquiries.
  • Supporting the Compliance Department’s control room and information barrier efforts.
  • Assisting with the firm’s trade and communications surveillance applications.
  • Assisting with the preparation of materials and reporting.

General Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong GPA.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience, ideally working in a control room environment.
  • Dedicated team player with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through skills.
  • Collegial and team oriented.
  • Capacity to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Detail-oriented, conscientious, and energetic professional with the ability to think creatively.
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects with high attention to detail.
  • Customer service orientation with strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to interact with outside parties and personnel across all levels of the firm.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work under deadlines.
  • Flexible work hours may be required.
