Bain Capital Credit’s Structured Credit Team is responsible for issuing and managing our global CLO investments as well as investing in the debt and equity of third-party managers. The team is responsible for managing $23bn of capital as of 3/31/2024 with 8 primary team members. The group is tight knit, collaborative, innovative and fast growing from an asset perspective. We are looking for an analyst interested in joining to help both investing and management platforms.

We are looking for an Analyst to join our Structured Credit Team in the Boston office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Invest in CLO tranches across the capital structure by performing relative value, credit, and statistical analysis

• Assist our CLO management platform by running CLO manager performance analysis and modeling CLO equity cash flows

• Maintain and build upon Bain Capital Credit’s CLO analytics platform

• Learn and adopt the firm’s straightforward investment process, characterized by direct verbal communication and concise written investment summaries supported by in-depth data-driven analysis

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong academic credentials (BS/BA from highly-regarded institution) and a demonstrated track record of successful work experience

• 1+ years of post-undergrad business and/or investing experience ideally with experience with structured products;

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and R

• Ability to work collaboratively in team environments and strong relationship-building skills

• Excellent communication skills with ability to synthesize complicated analyses concisely and to articulate insightful conclusions compellingly. Open to spirited debate over ideas.
