FINANCE- PARTNER SERVICES

The Bain Capital Partner Services Group provides Partners and internal investors with confidential, professional services including: consolidating financial information; identifying personal investment opportunities; performance reporting of personal investments; loan program management; philanthropic services and managing various other personal services. The Partner Services Group is also the main point of contact for third party family office service providers and vendors. Members of the team regularly collaborate with members of nearly every internal department in the firm, including investment professionals, other internal finance departments, tax, legal, HR, compliance and IT.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION

The Associate is part of a team designed to ensure that the complexity, diversity, and size of the internal investor relations and its portfolio are properly supported. Doing so requires a balanced team combining accounting, finance, and tax expertise with operational excellence in line with the high standards characteristic of Bain Capital. A successful candidate will play a key, and increasing role in driving efficiency, versatility, and quality of both the internal and outward facing deliverables and communications of the Partner Services team.

Responsible for the following tasks:

  • Point of contact for the team via day-to-day management of the group’s central e-mail box

  • Professionally and knowledgeably interact with investors in a client service capacity

  • Assist with capital call process including generating and posting invoices, managing the collection process, depositing checks and coordinating loan program activity

  • Assist with distribution process including generating and posting distribution notices, generating and coordinating signatures for wires and checks, and coordinating loan program activity

  • Assist with development and maintenance of various systems and applications including GL, contact management, report generation, report distribution, and other systems utilized by groups within the firm.

  • Develop and maintain procedural documents as well as manage various investor related forms and documents

  • Point of contact for banking relationships, responsible for setting up new accounts, maintaining wiring instructions and authorized signer records, and depositing checks

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • 0 - 2 years of experience in operations, family office or investor relations capacity in the financial services industry

  • Demonstrated proficiency utilizing technology to enhance organizational performance

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects with high attention to detail

  • Creative problem solving ability and sound judgment – ability to use own initiative and take responsibility for decisions

  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information

  • Team focused individual with unquestionable integrity, strong interpersonal skills, and the capacity to interact with professionals at all levels both within and outside the firm

  • Ability and desire to thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment

DESIRED EDUCATION

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or related field
