DESCRIPTION:
The Business Resiliency Analyst will be the central resource in coordinating activities around Technology Resiliency: the development of Business Continuity Plans and the execution of the Disaster Recovery program.
As the resiliency program expands, this role will be responsible for business and technical enhancements as well as report development for our resiliency software solution, BC in the Cloud application and Alert Media notification system. As part of these enhancements, you will need to document the requirements, coordinate the updates with the vendor(S), or in many cases perform them yourself and then validate the enhancements are successful.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with maintaining the firm’s Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Program which incorporates planning, exercise validation, and business impact analysis components for all functions.
- Assist in responding to Due Diligence requests as it relates to Information Technology services
- Oversee the process to create/update the Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and the Business Continuity Plans.
- Contribute to and support the internal stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document their business requirements.
- Works with Senior management and appropriate business units to prioritize DR/BCP critical systems and initiatives
- Coordinate and undertake DR exercise planning with the business and key 3rd party providers to understand and validate their exercise strategies
- Assist in the execution of recovery exercises including regularly scheduled application / business continuity validation
- Develop training documentation and awareness material
- Develop reports to support the overall status of the disaster recovery & business continuity program
- Partnering with third party vendors, technology staff and Business counterparts
- Co-administer the management of the Emergency Notification System
- Contribute to additional infrastructure and resiliency initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in technology discipline or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of IT experience
- Experience in disaster recovery and/or business continuity preferred
- Proven ability to be self-starter with analytical ability, judgment and problem analysis techniques
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to influence others effectively
- Proven ability in developing relationships with stakeholders, communicating project/program status, and understanding detailed business and technical requirements
- Proven project management skills: well organized, attention to detail, thoroughness and able to meet deadlines
- Beneficial for candidate to have experience in any of the following topics: Emergency Preparedness, Business Resiliency, Information Technology, and/or Information Security
- Advanced skills with documentation and Microsoft tools, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with current disaster recovery solutions and high availability architectures and mainframe architectures a plus
- Understanding of crisis communication solutions a plus
- HTML skills a plus
