WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll join our Global Professional Development & Performance team, responsible for redesigning Bain’s PD & Performance approach, standards, systems, and processes across all talent populations.
The Global PD & Performance team focuses on sourcing and scaling best practices, designing effective and efficient processes, and partnering with TSG to develop software solutions that support all regions and talent populations. Our work centers on generating and implementing solutions that help Bain deliver more value to our clients by better coaching and developing our teams, strengthening our employee value proposition, and supporting a more inclusive, equitable workplace and culture.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As a Senior Specialist, Global PD & Performance, you will play a key role in driving the success of the Global PD & Performance team. Reporting to the Director, you will support Bain’s PD & Performance strategy, with an initial differential focus on Upward Feedback.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
In partnership with the Global PD & Performance team and reporting to the Director, you will:
Support Bain’s PD & Performance strategy, with an initial differential focus on Upward Feedback.
Support the redesign and migration of Upward Feedback for General Consulting and Wave 1 Expert Client Delivery teams as part of the transition to Bain’s new PD & Performance system, Trellis in 2027. This work spans near-term system design, build, and testing, launch readiness (including communications and training materials), formal rollout, and ongoing live support and stabilization, in close partnership with TSG, Design & Development, and Change Management teams.
Work with local offices, service lines, and regional leadership to identify and synthesize best practices, process improvements, and cultural/behavioral shifts required to drive impact across Upward Feedback.
Help identify solutions to General Consulting strategic PD and Performance questions by developing hypotheses, gathering input, and proposing final recommendations.
Develop related training materials, global COE guidelines, and playbooks required to support Upward Feedback and related processes.
Be a culture-carrier who embodies Bain’s PD & Performance values and Operating Principles and serve as an internal champion of our guiding principles, demonstrating a growth mindset and inclusive leadership.
ABOUT YOU
Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in talent-related topics (HR, professional development, performance appraisal, program management), and relevant experience in the subject matter or GC/ECD/FP team member with a rating of “Achieved High Expectations” or higher in the most recent professional development review.
Proven self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills.
Credible mid-level client (internal or external) advisor and partner.
Strong business, technical, and analytical acumen.
Ability to work in an evolving environment, define a vision, and team with others to bring that vision to life; flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and program needs.
Demonstrated strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and management, teaming, networking, and collaboration skills, ideally across functions, levels, and geographies.
Successful experience fostering an inclusive team environment.
Strong communication and influencing skills, with English language fluency (both written and oral); interest and demonstrated ability in presenting and facilitation.
