WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll join our Supply Chain experts within the Performance Improvement Centre of Expertise (PI CoE), based in our Mexico City office for Bain Capability Network. This team plays a critical role in supporting consulting teams globally by driving cost reduction and optimization efforts across procurement, supply chain, and broader cost transformation initiatives.
You’ll work closely with Bain consulting teams and subject-matter experts to deliver high-impact client solutions. As part of this collaborative and fast-paced environment, you’ll help shape data-driven strategies and innovative approaches to complex operational challenges.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As a Project Leader, you will be a key member of the Supply Chain team within the Performance Improvement capability. You will lead teams and workstreams to deliver advanced analytics-driven insights, helping clients optimize their operations and unlock value across their supply chains.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You’ll lead teams of Associates and Analysts to deliver high-impact, client-ready outputs, with a focus on supply chain analytics such as network optimization and inventory (safety stock) optimization. You’ll generate actionable insights and translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
You will:
- Own end-to-end delivery of Performance Improvement projects focused on supply chain
- Lead teams in translating complex client data into meaningful solutions using ETL and advanced analytics across areas such as network design, inventory optimization, S&OP, transportation, and manufacturing
- Partner with case teams across Bain to diagnose problems and deploy the most effective tools and solutions
- Act as a subject matter expert, generating deep business insights in supply chain analytics
- Apply analytical tools to uncover data-driven insights that support decision-making
- Drive structured problem solving and compelling storytelling aligned with Bain’s quality standards
- Lead client and internal meetings, presenting findings clearly to senior stakeholders, including Partners
- Collaborate across global and BCN teams to support integrated solution development and knowledge sharing
- Ensure high-quality outputs through rigorous attention to detail and quality control
- Translate data into clear recommendations with tangible business impact
- Mentor and develop team members, providing regular and constructive feedback
- Manage staffing across workstreams, ensuring effective resource allocation and team sustainability
ABOUT YOU
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree with a strong academic record
- 5–8 years of relevant experience (undergraduate) or 3–6 years (postgraduate) in supply chain, performance improvement, consulting, or related fields
- Strong domain expertise in supply chain areas such as inventory optimization and network optimization (experience with tools such as Llamasoft/Coupa SCG, Optilogic is a plus)
- Hands-on experience with ETL and analytics tools such as Alteryx, Python, Tableau, or Power BI
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Proven ability to lead teams and deliver high-quality results under tight timelines
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and geographies
- Professional fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Ability to work in-office at least four days per week in Mexico City
