WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll join our Nordic Finance team based in Copenhagen, supporting a dynamic and international group across Denmark and the broader Nordic region. The team plays a critical role in ensuring smooth financial operations and partnering closely with HR and leadership to support our people.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As our Payroll Specialist, you will take ownership of payroll operations in Denmark, with the opportunity to expand your scope to Finland and grow into a broader Nordic payroll role. You’ll be a key contributor to a high-performing finance function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across payroll processes.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own and drive payroll operations for Denmark, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency
- Expand scope over time to support payroll operations in Finland
- Perform payroll-related reconciliations, including salary and account checks
- Manage reimbursement processes (e.g., sickness and parental leave) with relevant authorities
- Support bonus calculations and provide payroll input to HR
- Prepare payroll documentation and support audit processes
- Serve as a key point of contact for payroll-related queries across the organization
- Support international mobility cases, including inbound and outbound transfers
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
- Contribute to ad-hoc finance projects
ABOUT YOU
You bring a strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and are comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Must-have qualifications:
- Several years of hands-on experience managing Danish payroll, including full-cycle processing and reporting
- Strong knowledge of Danish tax, social security, and employment legislation
- Solid understanding of payroll accounting, reconciliations, and financial controls
- Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in MS Office
- Proven ability to manage deadlines, prioritize effectively, and maintain high accuracy
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in Danish and English
Nice-to-have qualifications:
- Experience with Nordic payroll (exposure to Finnish payroll is a plus but not required)
- Experience with payroll systems such as Visma or similar, and finance systems (e.g., SAP)
- Experience supporting audits and working with external advisors
- Relevant educational background in accounting, finance, HR, or a related field
- Experience working in an international organization
