WHO YOU’LL WORK WITHYou’ll join our Technology Solutions Group (TSG), partnering closely with cross-functional teams across product management, engineering, and business stakeholders. In this collaborative environment, you’ll help shape strategic product direction, align priorities across teams, and drive high-impact solutions that support Bain’s evolving business needs.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAMAs a Senior Manager, Product Owner, you will define and drive the strategic vision for one or more complex products. You’ll lead product planning, stakeholder engagement, and execution while ensuring alignment across business and technical teams. This role combines strategic thinking, operational leadership, and people management to help deliver scalable, business-focused product solutions.
- Create and drive a high-level product vision and roadmap aligned with business priorities
- Build strong relationships and alignment with senior stakeholders across the organization
- Continuously evaluate and adjust priorities in response to changing business needs
- Communicate product strategy clearly across product owners, engineering teams, and business partners
- Define and track KPIs and success metrics to measure product impact
- Partner with Product Managers to identify integration opportunities and improve user experience across products
- Make strategic tradeoff decisions and remove roadblocks to ensure successful product delivery
- Develop business cases and present recommendations to senior leadership
- Translate complex business requirements into actionable direction for technical teams
- Evaluate and manage vendor relationships, including performance oversight and escalation management
- Lead, coach, and develop team members while fostering collaboration and accountability
- Negotiate effectively across competing priorities while maintaining strong working relationships
- Experience owning outcomes across complex, multi-team initiatives with measurable business impact
- Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Experience setting strategic direction and prioritizing initiatives in fast-paced environments
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and product development practices
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Hybrid: This role follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence at least 1 day per week.
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package.
Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range to be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:
- In Boston, MA, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $172,000 - $206,500
- In Chicago, IL, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $164,500 - $197,500
- Annual discretionary performance bonus
- This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation
- 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date
