The team:

The Chief People Organisation (CPO) operates as a strategic partner to each area of the bank, focused on making Bank of America a great place to work for all employees in numerous ways including a focus on recognizing and rewarding performance, providing development and growth opportunities, ensuring a workplace that is inclusive and provides opportunity for all and supporting employees with physical, emotional and financial wellness.

Programme Overview:

Our apprentice programme starts in September 2026, you will join the Talent Acquisition team in a full-time role whilst studying towards a Human Resource Support Level 3 Apprenticeship.

You’ll spend most of your time working alongside experienced colleagues, learning relevant and valuable skills, contributing to exciting projects and valuable hiring initiatives. The remainder of your time you’ll follow an established apprenticeship programme, graduating with a CIPD Foundation Certificate

Apprentices evolve during the programme based on their career aspirations and depending on how quickly their skills and behaviours develop. We encourage apprentices to take advantage of employee networks, mentorship and all other resources made available to them to accelerate their career.

Successful apprentices will continuously relate what they are learning with their work at Bank of America, as they progress through their apprenticeship.

Training and Development:

Your training and development is our top priority with extensive formal training offered at the start of the programme in addition to on the job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout.

Responsibilities:

Successful apprentices will continuously relate what they are learning with their work at Bank of America, as they progress through their apprentice programme. The apprenticeship will support you in developing in key elements of the role below:

  • Working as part of a team, you will support all aspects of the recruitment process, building strong partnerships with recruiters, other members of the Talent Acquisition team and business hiring managers
  • You will build a strong knowledge of Talent Acquisition activities and how our processes are delivered effectively and compliantly to fulfil the needs of our business
  • Support recruitment day to day recruitment activity

Eligibility:

  • Hold or predicted to achieve at least 3 A levels/BTEC or equivalent with a minimum of 104 UCAS points (BCC Grades)
  • At least a grade C or 5 in Maths and English Language GCSE (4 will not be accepted) or equivalent
  • Been a resident of the UK for the past 3 years
  • Not in full-time education when starting the apprenticeship
  • The right to work and remain in the UK indefinitely
  • Not completed a qualification or apprenticeship at the same level or higher which provided you with substantially the same skills or training as you would gain through this apprenticeship with Bank of America

What we are looking for

  • Show demonstrable evidence of self-learning outside of studies
  • Sound judgement, integrity, and self-confidence with a desire to succeed
  • Display clear motivation for exploring a career in Human Resources
  • Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with a variety of people
  • Detail orientated
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Demonstrate integrity and ethics by earning other’s trust and respect through consistent honesty and professionalism in all interactions.
