The Chief People Organisation operates as a strategic partner to each area of the bank, focused on making Bank of America a great place to work for all employees in numerous ways including a focus on recognising and rewarding performance, providing development and growth opportunities, ensuring a workplace that is inclusive and provides opportunity for all and supporting employees’ with physical, emotional and financial wellness.
Programme Overview
Working in partnership, the Chief People Organisation teams provide a comprehensive service to the business. The Chief People Organisation functions include Talent Acquisition, Talent, Learning, Opportunity & Inclusion, Compensation & Benefits, Shared Services, Employee Relations, Corporate Communications, Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Security.
This job is responsible for participating in the Chief People Organisation (CPO) Analyst Program, a two-year rotational development program. This rotational process helps teammates develop a solid knowledge base of the functional areas within Chief People Organisation and the Bank.
Training and Development
Your training and development is our top priority with extensive formal training offered at the start of the programme in addition to on the job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating on projects across Chief People Organisation that contribute to our key people strategies and initiatives.
- Supporting initiatives across the Chief People Organisation team including for example in Benefits, Opportunity & Inclusion, Talent, Learning and Corporate Communications
- Collaborate with recruitment professionals on strategic hiring initiatives, employer branding activities and projects that help attract and retain top talent.
- Develop expertise through rotational assignments across multiple Chief People Organisation disciplines, building a broad understanding of Human Resources within a global financial institution.
- Assist with analysing benefits data, employee feedback and market trends to support the development of wellbeing and benefits initiatives.
- Support talent management initiatives focused on employee development, performance, succession planning and career growth.
Eligibility
- Candidates are required to be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a completion time frame between September 2026 and July 2027. Completion means that you have completed all final exams, coursework, and have no outstanding requirements for graduation. Please note that we reserve the right to request evidence of this completion date before extending an offer.
- On track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent)
- To be eligible to apply for this role in Chester, you must have the right to work in the UK as visa sponsorship is not available.
- Must be available to join the programme in either January, April or July 2027.
What we are looking for
Essential:
- Show demonstrable evidence of self-learning outside of studies, and efforts to advance technical skills
- Display clear motivation for exploring a HR career within financial services.
- Demonstrate capacity for innovative thinking and strong problem solving
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with a variety of people
- Display evidence of strong teamwork, leadership, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in written and spoken English is a pre-requisite
- Demonstrate integrity and ethics by earning other’s trust and respect through consistent honesty and professionalism in all interactions
Desired:
- Good MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- A passion for processes and continuous improvements to meet stakeholder needs
