As a Sales Support Associate, RSG Americas at Barclays, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Risk Solutions sales team. The Risk Solutions Group at Barclays is focused on marketing and transacting interest rate and currency derivative solutions with corporate and financial sponsor clients. As a Sales Support Associate, RSG Americas you will be responsible for ensuring seamless onboarding of new accounts, interfacing with the sales teams, middle-office and back-office teams, and resolving client inquiries. Support may include handling settlement and payment amount calculations, trade confirmation amendments/generation, rate reset calculations, expediting onboarding processes for live trades, and championing projects aimed at increasing efficiency and improving the client experience. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across various business areas alongside the Risk Solutions team. Working closely with the sales team, you will gain exposure to fixed income as an asset class, as well as the operations and needs of large multinational corporate clients. As a Sales Support Associate, RSG Americas you will be integral to the functioning of the full client-facing team and will engage directly with clients to help resolve issues, including, but not limited to, onboarding and KYC, reconciliation of valuation statements, settlement mismatches, and many other related tasks.

To be successful as a Sales Support Associate, RSG Americas you should have:

  • Experience in sales support or other related fixed income middle-office roles

  • A technical understanding of fixed income products and operational support functions

  • Working knowledge of interest rate and FX derivative products would be ideal

  • Proficiency in MS Office products, including Excel

  • Familiarity with trade capture tools and onboarding systems

This role is located in New York.

Minimum Salary: $70,000

Maximum Salary: $140,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.

Accountabilities

  • Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
  • Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
  • Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
