Join us as an "AVP - Learning Support- People Development" at Barclays, where you will be responsible for helping to educate and upskill operational colleagues through training, coaching and knowledge transfer initiatives.

To be successful as an "AVP - Learning Support- People Development", you should have experience with:

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

  • Designing and developing blended learning using an instructional design approach across digital, virtual and face to face modalities.
  • Delivering virtual and in-person training programs (facilitation and event management) with a focus on new joiners and graduates covering technical, behavioural, and leadership skills.
  • Implementing efficacy frameworks to report on training effectiveness and recommended improvements to ensure high-impact learning outcomes.
  • Identifying industry trends and integrating best practices into people development programmes and initiatives.
  • Conducting learning needs assessments and collaborating across departments to identify and address gaps in knowledge and skills.
  • Participating in projects and initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and effectiveness related to people development.
  • Ensuring content and processes adhere to central Barclays branding standards and guidelines.
  • Using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and learning-specific software to design training materials, analyze training data, and communicate effectively.
  • Maintaining accurate training records, risk assessments, and compliance documentation in alignment with regulatory standards.

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree related to Talent, HR, Psychology or Learning is preferred
  • Experience of supporting campus recruitment activities
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across multiple teams and timezones in designing and implementing training solutions.
  • Basic project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, with confidence in communicating (both written and verbal) across a variety of stakeholder groups.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Experience of working in a banking or financial services environment, ideally in a second or third-line learning support function.
  • Strong attention to detail in maintaining comprehensive training records, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
  • there may be opportunities to travel with the region for training events and workshops.

This role will be based out of Pune.

Purpose of the role

To educate and upskill operational colleagues through training, coaching and knowledge transfer initiatives.

Accountabilities

  • Development of training programmes, workshops and other initiatives to coach and support the knowledge transfer and skill development of the banking operational teams/colleagues.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of training programmes and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in learning and development.
  • Execution of training needs assessments and collaborating across the bank to identify gaps in knowledge and skills.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness in relation to learning and development.
  • Identifying risk and issues internally within team and ability to escalate appropriately.
  • Maintain Barclays branding, ensuring all materials are reflective of the standards; adhering to Barclays governance, standards and policies.
