Our Explorer Programme
You'll join our explorer programme, a 2-year programme designed to give you depth and breadth of experience. Participating in job-based bespoke training from the start enabling you to go fully-equipped into your role as you embark on the first of three eight-month long rotations.
Why the Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility Graduate Programme?
Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility (PPCR) sits at the heart of this British universal bank. It is responsible for the bank’s societal purpose including the Group’s sustainability and citizenship agendas, our internal and external Communications strategy, and our Government and Regulatory Policy engagement activity.
Whilst the day-to-day activities within each team may differ, we are focused on building high-quality relationships with stakeholders including the media, government, regulators, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), communities and colleagues in an effective and collaborative way for the benefit of our customers and clients, our people, our shareholders, and the communities in which we operate, as well as for society more broadly.
By joining PPCR you’ll work on diverse and intellectually challenging projects in a fast-paced environment. Purpose of the role
To support the day-to-day operations of the public policy and corporate responsibility division providing insights and expertise that help more senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities
Accountabilities
- Execution of small research projects, research to support strategic decision making, preparation of presentations and reports to communicate research findings, collaboration with senior management to implement research findings for public policy and corporate responsibility.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
- Participation in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Identification of opportunities, development of business cases, management of the deployment and launch of new products and services for public policy and corporate responsibility.
- Management of client relationships and provision of customer service support to clients and customers, under steadily decreasing supervision, responding to questions about products and services, processing of transactions, and resolution of customer complaints.
- Management of the development and implementation of financial models and strategies that support in decision making for public policy and corporate responsibility.
- Training and mentoring of junior colleagues, facilitation of individual or group training sessions, and development and maintenance of training materials.
