As a Vice President level Technology & Operations Executive Recruiter, you will act as a trusted advisor to the Group COO business lines, focusing on Institutional Technology & Operations recruitment for Barclays. You will own the end-to-end recruitment process for senior leadership roles (Director and MD level), delivering best-in-class executive search services through direct sourcing and strategic talent pipelining. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role where you will leverage your expertise in technology and operations recruitment to identify, engage and secure top-tier talent from both internal and external markets. You will provide a white-glove experience to clients and candidates, ensuring seamless communication and confidence throughout the process.
You will support the business by partnering closely with senior stakeholders, HR Business Partners and Reward to deliver critical hires aligned with organisational priorities. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you will utilise sourcing tools and market intelligence to build strong talent pipelines, while demonstrating deep knowledge of financial services technology and operations. Success in this role requires exceptional negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to inspire confidence at executive level. To be successful as a Vice President Technology & Operations Executive Recruiter, you should have experience with:
Proven experience in executive-level hiring within Technology & Operations, ideally in financial services.
Track record in direct sourcing for both senior contingent and retained search type hires.
In-house recruitment experience.
Deep understanding of organisational structures and leadership roles within banking.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. Experience recruiting for senior executive technology and operations roles in global banking environments will be highly valued.

Purpose of the role
To provide world class executive recruiting services to Technology & Operations leadership.
Accountabilities
- Development and implementation of executive recruitment strategies and programmes that align with the bank’s business goals, including the identification potential candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals.
- Build and maintain executive talent needs assessment to anticipate hiring needs and maintain a talent pipeline to ensure a consistent pool of qualified executive candidates.
- Development of compelling job postings and marketing materials, execution and coordination of sourcing, screening and interviewing to assess candidates, making hiring recommendations and negotiating job offers.
- Onboarding processes for new hires, including orientation sessions administration, to facilitate a smooth transition into the organisation.
- Monitoring and reporting of key recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, cost per hire, and source of hire, including the identification of areas for improvement and optimisation.
- Stakeholder management of hiring managers, executive search firms, and professional organisations to develop a strong executive talent pipeline.
