Senior Decision Analyst - Customer Remediation

Join us as a Senior Decision Analyst in the Customer Remediation Team at Barclays where you'll be primarily responsible for conducting detailed analytical investigations, calculations and producing robust accurate data sets that enable Barclays to remediate customers. You will work closely with project and business stakeholders supporting a broad variety of customer remediation projects across Barclays
To be successful as a Senior Decision Analyst - Customer Remediation, you should have experience with:
Great experience in analytics or data science, working autonomously with complex problem statements, with a focus on problem-solving and investigative analysis
Proven ability to identify, analyse, and solve problems using structured analytical methods
Solid understanding of data quality principles, techniques, and best practices
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex findings clearly
Ability to challenge, interpret, and “argue with the data,” applying sound analytical methodology
Skilled at translating business problem statements into clear, actionable analytical approaches
Proficiency in programming languages in particular Python and SQL
Actively seeking out new techniques in analytics, ensuring your skills are relevant to best practices and doing this to drive more efficient and effective outcomes
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Masters or Degree in a quantitative field (such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics)
Experience working within agile delivery methodologies
Financial services industry experience
Good strategic understanding of analytics and its applications
Experience mentoring colleagues and supporting their development
Demonstrated ability to lead projects or analytical workstreams

This role can be based in either London, Northampton or Manchester.
Purpose of the role
To extract meaningful insights from complex data sets, developing robust decision models, and presenting actionable recommendations to stakeholders across the departments.
Accountabilities
- Identification and extraction of relevant data from various internal and external sources.
- Performing sensitivity analysis and scenario planning.
- Monitoring and evaluation of the performance of existing models.
- Development and implementation of data quality control procedures.
- Building and validation of quantitative models to support decision-making across different business areas.
