The Markets Pre-Trade Technical Standards Management (TSM) team leads the remediation of technical debt and cyber vulnerabilities across our Markets technology estate. In this role, you’ll work with over 200 applications within TC2, helping modernize server environments and strengthen defenses against emerging cyber threats across cryptography, identity and access management, and threat management. Your work will directly improve platform resilience, security posture, and operational excellence at scale.

To be successful as a Technical Standards DevOps Engineer, you should have experience with:

  • SQL and Python for data analysis, automation, and reporting

  • Technical infrastructure, application architecture, and security protocols within enterprise environments

  • Automating reports and dashboards to track remediation, risk, and technology health metrics

  • Configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Chef

  • Coordinating and delivering initiatives across multiple applications using structured project management approaches

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Driving remediation of technical debt and security risks across large, heterogeneous application estates

  • Identifying innovative, scalable solutions that can be applied across multiple platforms and technologies

  • Building good partnerships with engineering, security, and platform stakeholders across teams

  • Independent problem decomposition, investigation, and solution design in ambiguous technical environments

  • Highly organized, outcome-driven execution with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

This role is located in Whippany, New Jersey.

Minimum Salary: $120,000

Maximum Salary: $175,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To manage the efficient delivery of large-scale technical projects and capabilities across the bank and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations throughout the software product lifecycle, adhering to agreed time, budget and quality requirements.

Accountabilities

  • Management of the delivery, resource allocation and improvement of complex technical project capabilities across the bank using Agile/Scrum methodologies for planning, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives and the execution of sprints.
  • Collaboration with customers and business teams to manage and implement customer trails to support the proposal of technically feasible solutions, and effort and timeline expectations.
  • Collaboration with software engineers, quality teams, product managers and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle aligned to the banks objectives, regulation and security policies.
  • Identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks associated with technical projects to prepare the bank for potential challenges.
  • Management of change requests and communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Management of vendor relations involved in technical projects to ensure they deliver according to agreed terms.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improving deliver outcomes and to foster a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence and growth.
