To be a successful Prime Risk Tech Lead, you should have experience with:
- Capital Markets Domain Expertise & Business Acumen (10+ years Financial Services/Capital Markets)
- Ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions
- Understanding of front office trading operations and risk management principles
- Delivery Leadership & Technology Architecture Understanding
- Proven track record leading technology delivery in complex, regulated environments
- Experience managing platform modernization and legacy system transformation initiatives
- Conceptual understanding of enterprise technology stacks e.g. AWS, Data warehouse, Data Lake, Qlik sense, Python, PL-SQL to effectively lead technical teams and make informed delivery decisions.
- Awareness of programming paradigms (Python, SQL/PL-SQL) sufficient to evaluate technical proposals, review architecture decisions, and engage meaningfully with engineering teams
- Ability to drive execution across distributed, global teams
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and scale specialized engineering teams
- Exceptional communication skills translating technical concepts into business value
- Cross-functional collaboration across business, operations, and technology organizations
Additional relevant skills given below are highly valued
- Prior experience in Prime Brokerage, Securities Lending, or Margin operations
- Familiarity with Agile and traditional project management methodologies
- Development technologies (Python scripting, SQL querying, Spark processing)
- Cloud services architectureunderstanding of S3 for data storage, Lambda for serverless computing, Glue for ETL, Athena for analytics, CloudWatch for monitoring

Purpose of the role
To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Accountabilities
- Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
- Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
