To be successful as an AV Operations and Events Support Lead you should have experience with: -

  • Proven experience in AV operations and technology management within a corporate or enterprise setting.

  • Strong leadership and team management, with a track record of guiding teams toward operational goals.

  • Demonstrated expertise in workplace collaboration tools and media services, including MS Teams, MTR, CVI, and digital signage systems.

  • Hands-on experience with TV distribution and digital signage platforms such as Bightsign, Tripleplay, Uniguest, Mediastar, and Onelan.

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow for incident and change management, hardware asset tracking, and service quality monitoring.

  • Advanced skills in managing live events, including audio mixer operation, camera control, and AV input matrix management for executive and company-wide gatherings.

  • Knowledge of videowall solutions and AV control systems such as Crestron, Extron, QSC, NEC, Biamp, and Shure.

  • Intermediate programming and device configuration skills are essential.
    Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities related to AV systems and technologies.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, ensuring the timely fulfilment of business requirements.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Continuous learner, motivated to stay updated on technology trends and AV solutions.

Some other highly valued skills may include: -

  • AV Systems Expertise - Hands-on knowledge of AV platforms including Microsoft Teams, Cisco Collaboration Endpoints, Digital Signage, TV distribution, and control systems like Crestron and Extron. Intermediate programming and device configuration skills are also needed.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Management -Demonstrated ability to communicate with clarity and confidence when engaging diverse stakeholders, including high-profile and VIP executives.

  • Skilled in managing expectations, delivering concise updates, and ensuring a polished, professional experience during critical meetings and events.

  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving -Expertise in diagnosing and resolving AV system issues promptly, leveraging tools like ServiceNow for incident and asset management.

  • Adept at applying analytical thinking to minimize downtime and maintain operational excellence.

  • AV Certification like CTS/CVE/Cisco certifications is preferred.
    ITIL certification will be preferred.

  • Experienced in designing and implementing AV Infrastructure end to end.

  • Industry knowledge and up-to date AV products awareness is desirable.

Purpose of the role

To lead and manage engineering teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, driving technical excellence, fostering a culture of innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business objectives.

Accountabilities

  • Lead engineering teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture to achieve project goals and meet organizational objectives.
  • Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management and task prioritization to ensure the successful delivery of solutions within scope, time, and budget.
  • Mentor and support team members' professional growth, conduct performance reviews, provide actionable feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluation and enhancement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize team productivity.
  • Collaboration with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure a cohesive approach to product development.
  • Enforcement of technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
