To be successful as an "CDO - Data Analyst", you should have experience with:

  • Strong proficiency in Power BI (DAX, modelling, visual design).
  • Solid Python experience for data manipulation and automation.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, complex formulas, automation).
  • Cloud Skills (AWS/Azure).
  • Working knowledge of AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with services such as S3, EC2, Redshift or Azure services.
  • Database Skills: Hands‑on experience with at least one RDBMS (e.g., Oracle)
  • Data Engineering & Architecture
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing /Data lake/ Data lake housing concepts
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Operating System & Scripting: Basic understanding of UNIX, Familiarity with Shell scripting.
  • DevOps & Deployment.
  • Familiarity with code repositories (e.g., Git)
  • Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Modern Data Platforms: Awareness of Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of open table formats.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong communicator and stakeholder management, development lifecycle
  • Ability to work with technical and nontechnical audiences.

Desirable / Good to Have:

  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience working in a data driven or risk focused environment.

Purpose of the role

To develop, implement, and maintain effective governance frameworks for all data and records across the bank's global operations.

Accountabilities

  • Development and maintenance of a comprehensive data and records governance framework aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Monitoring data quality and records metrics and compliance with standards across the organization.
  • Identification and addressing of data and records management risks and gaps.
  • Development and implementation of a records management programme that ensures the proper identification, classification, storage, retention, retrieval and disposal of records.
  • Development and implementation of a data governance strategy that aligns with the bank's overall data management strategy and business objectives.
  • Provision of Group wide guidance and training on Data and Records Management standard requirements.
