Based in Singapore, the Data Analytics and Business Process Improvement Manager (AVP-level individual contributor) will drive data-driven process optimization and automation across the organization. In this role, you will analyze current data infrastructure and user workflows, shadow users to understand pain points, and implement modern solutions—ranging from advanced data analytics and AI tools to agentic (autonomous) automation—to streamline key processes and enhance management decision-making. Success in this position requires close collaboration with global product owners and cross-functional teams (Technology, Legal, Compliance, etc.), the ability to influence stakeholders without formal authority, and strict adherence to all internal policies, controls, and external regulatory requirements.
Key Requirements:
- Analytical & Process Improvement Expertise: Proven experience in data analytics and business process improvement, including mapping complex workflows, analyzing data to pinpoint inefficiencies, and identifying high-impact opportunities for efficiency gains and automation.
- Automation & AI Proficiency: Hands-on proficiency with modern technologies (advanced analytics tools, AI/ML solutions, and process automation platforms) to design and implement improvements and develop insightful data visualizations/dashboard reports for decision support.
- Collaborative Influence: Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills with a track record of working effectively across global product teams, technology groups, and support functions (e.g. Legal, Compliance) to drive initiatives and build consensus without direct managerial authority.
- Communication & Problem-Solving: Strong ability to engage with end-users (e.g. through process shadowing) to understand business needs, translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations, and communicate process improvement plans to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Governance & Risk Mindset: Demonstrated commitment to governance, risk management, and compliance – ensuring all proposed solutions and process changes strictly follow internal policies, control standards, and external regulatory requirements.

Purpose of the role
To use innovative data analytics and machine learning techniques to extract valuable insights from the bank's data reserves, leveraging these insights to inform strategic decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and drive innovation across the organisation.
Accountabilities
- Identification, collection, extraction of data from various sources, including internal and external sources.
- Performing data cleaning, wrangling, and transformation to ensure its quality and suitability for analysis.
- Development and maintenance of efficient data pipelines for automated data acquisition and processing.
- Design and conduct of statistical and machine learning models to analyse patterns, trends, and relationships in the data.
- Development and implementation of predictive models to forecast future outcomes and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to seek out opportunities to add value from data through Data Science.
