Join us as an AVP Technical Analyst at Barclays, responsible for supporting the successful delivery of location strategy projects to plan, budget, agreed quality and governance standards. You'll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence.

To be successful as an AVP Technical Analyst you should have experience with:

  • Has ability to investigate, analyse, visualise, articulate and solve complex problems and concepts and make disciplined decisions based on available information.
  • Is aware of and understands agile methodology and how to apply the agile mindset to all aspects of their work.
  • Liquidity and Cash Management / Payments experience. Good understanding of Customer Journeys in the Liquidity Management
  • Worked in Tools that are used for Capturing Requirements in Agile (Jira, Rally etc.) and Confluence
  • Previous experience on projects having Liquidity Management implementations.
  • Knowledge of Bookkeeping, Core Banking, Accounting, General Ledger, Liquidity Management and FX transactions
  • Exposure to ISO20022
  • Experience in large scale product implementation including integration various upstream and downstream applications in Bank’s estate using various communication protocols.
  • Define integration and interfacing requirements between Liquidity Management systems and other systems such below (as example)
    • Core banking systems
    • Payments platforms
    • GL and accounting systems
    • Channels (host‑to‑host, APIs, portals)
    • Regulatory and reporting systems
  • Create detailed specifications for data flows, message formats, validations, and error handling.
  • Work with multiple integration protocols including (but not limited to):
    • APIs (REST / SOAP)
    • ISO 20022 (PAIN, CAMT, PACS messages)
    • File‑based integrations (CSV, XML, flat files)
    • MQ / middleware‑based integrations
  • Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure scalable, secure, and reusable integration designs.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Exposure to Product Owner roles and responsibilities.
  • Technical knowledge will be a benefit to assist with data analysis.
  • Strong domain background in Transaction Banking, Liquidity and Cash Management.

The role is based out of Pune.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
