To be successful as a Senior Full Stack Trading Floor Engineer, you should:

  • Demonstrate considerable ownership and accountability, taking end-to-end responsibility for development, delivery, and support of applications

  • Be comfortable working in a dynamic, front-office environment with a focus on rapid issue resolution and adaptability to changing priorities

  • Have experience building and supporting production-ready full stack applications

  • Possess ample problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to identify root causes and resolve complex issues efficiently

  • Communicate effectively with traders and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions

Other highly valued skills include:

  • Experience with JavaScript, with additional experience in Python, ASP.NET, React, and KDB

  • Experience designing and implementing web service architectures

  • Ability to work on and support legacy systems, including delivering enhancements and continuous improvements

  • Understanding of banking workflows and front-office processes

  • Experience working with modern web technologies and frameworks

This role is located in our New York, NY office.

Minimum Salary: $120,000

Maximum Salary: $ 175,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
