Role Summary:
As the Director-level Head of the Transformation Office for Personal Banking & Wealth Management (Asia), you will spearhead the region’s most critical cross-functional transformation programs with unwavering focus on client-centric innovation and tangible business outcomes. Based in Singapore, you will drive execution excellence across complex initiatives—leveraging agile and hybrid delivery methods—while also serving as Deputy to the PBWM Singapore COO to align Asia-wide transformation efforts with local strategic priorities and represent the COO’s office when needed. In this dual capacity, you will lead a small high-performing team and foster a collaborative “team-of-teams” culture, uniting diverse functions and geographies to ensure disciplined program delivery, shared ownership, and a razor-sharp focus on execution.
Key Requirements:
- Transformation Leadership & Execution:Proven track record in leading large-scale, cross-functional transformation programs from strategy through execution. Deep expertise in applying agile project management and change management practices to deliver complex initiatives on time and within scope, with clear evidence of driving measurable improvements in business performance and client outcomes.
- Strategic & Client-Centric Mindset:Strong strategic thinking and business acumen – able to translate high-level vision and COO priorities into actionable roadmaps and simple, compelling management briefings. Brings a relentless client-centric focus, ensuring that transformation efforts enhance customer experience and create value for the business.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills across functions, regions, and seniority levels. Adept at breaking down silos and convening diverse teams (Operations, Technology, Product, Risk, Compliance, etc.) into a unified ‘team-of-teams’ environment. Skilled at building consensus, balancing competing priorities, and driving collective ownership of outcomes without relying only on formal authority.
- People Leadership & Team Building:Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, with the ability to manage, mentor, and inspire a group of project managers or analysts (approximately five direct reports). A collaborative leadership style that emphasizes accountability, clear goal-setting, continuous improvement, and recognition—fostering a culture of excellence and resilience in execution.
Execution Rigor & Governance:Disciplined approach to program governance and risk management, ensuring that all transformation initiatives adhere to the firm’s standards, regulatory requirements, and budget/time commitments. Strong attention to detail in tracking progress and financial performance, with the ability to promptly identify and address risks or roadblocks, keeping transformation programs on track and aligned with both regional and local business objectives
