To be successful as a Senior Full Stack Engineer - AVP, you should have:

  • Ample software engineering experience with Go as a primary language, building and maintaining production-grade systems

  • Hands-on experience with API gateway platforms (preferably Apigee), including proxy design, traffic management, and security policies

  • Practical experience with Apache Kafka in production, including consumer groups, offset management, and delivery semantics (at-least-once / exactly-once)

  • Solid data modeling expertise across RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL—normalization, schema design, query optimization) and NoSQL systems, with understanding of tradeoffs across document, key-value, wide-column, and graph models

  • Proficiency in modern engineering practices and tools, including REST/gRPC API design, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), and prompt engineering with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, Claude)

Other highly valued skills include:

  • Experience with schema-driven development using Protobuf, Avro, or JSON Schema

  • Familiarity with GraphQL and event streaming patterns beyond Kafka (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kinesis)

  • Exposure to observability best practices, including OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and structured logging at scale

  • Experience contributing to internal developer platforms or broader platform engineering programs

This role is located in our Whippany, NJ office.

Minimum Salary: $120,000

Maximum Salary: $175,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
