What will you be doing?
Barclays Services Corp. seeks Sr Tech Business Analyst, AVP in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):
Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in financial transactions that may indicate money laundering financial crimes.
Develop and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports that highlight risk exposures, compliance trends, and operational efficiency within Barclays Correspondent Banking Unit.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance operations, transaction monitoring, and partner systems, to elicit, analyze and document requirements for new and to enhance existing AML scenarios for Barclays Correspondent Banking.
Create Business Required Document (BRD) and Functional Requirement Document (FRD) in alignment with Barclays compliance regulatory requirement for effective AML Case Management.
Liaise with the technical team to hand over documented requirements for application development withing the Oracle Mantas Application and the Oracle Financial Services Analytical Application Financial Crime and Compliance Management (OFSAAFCCM) suite.
Utilize Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) tool to enhance the quality and accuracy of reporting.
Conduct in-depth analysis and execute the optimization of analytical models, ensuring each stage of the transition is meticulously planned and aligned with business objectives.
Validate the implementation of new changes to existing design, ensuring they meet the regulatory requirements and operational requirements during various phases like SIT, UAT and PVT.
Review current business processes and workflows to find inefficiencies and gaps in Business Surveillance Enhancements, providing input for improving AML Scenario Rules Optimization.
Perform Below the Line (BTL) validation twice a year to identify false positives and true negatives, using statistical formulas to analyze data trends and optimize AML transaction monitoring scenarios.
Coordinate with upstream and downstream partner systems to ensure seamless data flow as per defined requirements, addressing any discrepancies or issues encountered.
Work closely with Run the Bank (RTB) and IT teams to ensure proper deployment of newly developed functions, monitor daily batch processing, ensuring operational efficiency and addressing issues during production outages.
Perform the quality checks for the integrity and accuracy of the entire Mantas data set during infrastructure upgrades and migrations, including the transition to the new Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Oracle database version.
Support the Product Owner by providing analytical data and insights to the Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) and for external audit requirements and compliance reviews.
Implement the mitigation strategies based on risk assessment findings and collaborate with relevant teams to implement these strategies.
Provide training and support to junior analysts and other staff members on AML processes, tools, and best practices.
Lead knowledge sharing sessions to enhance the overall understanding of financial crime and compliance within the organization.
Utilize project management methodologies to track progress, manage delivery risks, and communicate status to senior management.
Minimum Salary: $169,541 per year
Maximum Salary: $175,000 per year
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

- Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.

- Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.

- Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
- Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.
