Join as an Executive Assistant - Barclays Internal Audit , providing high-impact, trusted support to the department, including the Chief Internal Auditor and the Chief Operating Office. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective management of priorities, including day-to-day operations, scheduling, and the production of meeting materials, enabling the department to operate at maximum effectiveness. You will proactively anticipate needs, manage calendars, and serve as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders across the Audit function. Managing competing priorities with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment is central to success in this role. You will work closely with the Americas Chief of Staff, departmental colleagues, and other Barclays Executive Assistants to deliver seamless, coordinated support. This includes providing coverage and contributing to a broad range of priorities and deliverables to ensure continuity, consistency, and effective execution across the function. The role requires flexibility in working patterns, including time in the office, to align with senior management schedules, office events, meetings requiring support, and evolving business needs.

To be successful as an Executive Assistant - Barclays Internal Audit , you should have:

  • Experience supporting C-suite or ExCo-level executives within a corporate environment or similarly complex organization, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)

  • Ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines, manage multiple priorities while maintaining strict confidentiality, and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

  • Attention to detail

  • A proactive, collaborative approach, combined with strong personal accountability and the ability to work independently

  • Clear, professional communication skills, with experience handling executive-level correspondence while exercising sound judgment and discretion

  • Partnership skills, including experience working alongside team members to deliver coordinated global support

  • Flexibility and resilience to adapt working hours and office presence to align with executive schedules and evolving business needs

  • Experience with global coordination, including complex travel arrangements and multi-time-zone scheduling

Highly valued skills:

  • Experience using tools such as Concur, Coupa, Workday, and document management systems

  • Experience using Microsoft Copilot or other AI productivity tools

This role is located in New York.

Salary minimum: $110,000

Salary maximum: $140,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To provide administrative, analytical, and research support to the Internal Audit team, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the audit function.

Accountabilities

  • Development and execution of operational practices to effectively manage internal audit functions.
  • Guidance and support for internal audit functions, by providing technical support and assisting with audit administration, including planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Development and execution of departmental training to support compliance with internal policies, including content development and training development sessions.
  • Monitoring of compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
