As a Senior Software Engineer -UI you will support the organisation, achieve its strategic objectives by the identification of business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities.

To be a successful Senior Software Engineer -UI you should have experience with:

  • Strong hands-on experience in React.js with proven expertise in designing and developing enterprise-scale web applications.
  • Solid development experience in Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development with the ability to work across UI and backend components.
  • Deep understanding of modern UI technologies including React, HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS3, LESS, Bootstrap, Node.js, Jest, and JSON over HTTP.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, component-based architecture, and application security best practices.
  • Experience building responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces.
  • Proficiency in integrating UI applications with RESTful services and microservices-based architectures.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle and MySQL.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently learn and adopt new technologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments and collaborating effectively across geographically distributed teams.
  • Understanding of regulatory, governance, and secure engineering practices within enterprise environments.
  • Experience leading technical design discussions, code reviews, mentoring developers, and driving engineering best practices.
  • 8+years of professional experience

Additional relevant skills given below are highly valued:

  • Experience with React Native and mobile application development.
  • Good understanding of the MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift container platforms.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Barclays Cloud Platform (BCP).
  • Understanding of micro-frontend architecture and modern frontend engineering practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (GitLab, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket).
  • Knowledge of performance optimization, observability, and frontend monitoring practices.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka or MQ.
  • Experience in Banking, Wealth Management, or Financial Services domains.
  • Passion for driving UI modernization, engineering excellence, and user experience improvements.

This role is based in Pune.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
