PPCR SFMC Tech Lead

To be successful as a PPCR SFMC Tech Lead, you should have experience with:
- Architect and implement SFMC solutions across Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, and Mobile Studio
- Design data models within Contact Builder/Data Extensions, including relational data models and subscriber management
- Build and optimize AMPscript, SSJS, and SQL for personalization, dynamic content, and automations
- Develop and maintain CloudPages for microsites, preference centers, forms, and gated content experiences
- Lead API integrations (REST/SOAP) between SFMC and Salesforce CRM, external systems, and third-party platforms
- Define and enforce coding standards, solution architecture, and best practices across the team
- Own technical delivery: sprint planning, code reviews, and troubleshooting production issues
- Collaborate with campaign/marketing teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Manage data privacy, deliverability, and compliance requirements (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA)
- Guide CI/CD practices, deployment automation, and environment management (sandbox to production)
- Mentor junior/mid-level engineers and conduct technical interviews
- Assess and plan migration paths to SFMC Next (Marketing Cloud Next Generation) and align architecture with Salesforce's evolving platform roadmap
- Evaluate integration of Data Cloud and Einstein/AI-driven capabilities into existing SFMC implementations
- Strong hands-on expertise in AMPscript, SSJS, SQL, HTML/CSS.
- Deep knowledge of Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Contact Builder.
- Experience with SFMC APIs (REST/SOAP), Marketing Cloud Connect, and Salesforce CRM integration.
- Familiarity with Postmonger, custom activities, and CloudPages.
- Understanding of email deliverability, IP warming, and sender reputation management.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (Email Specialist, Developer, Consultant) strongly preferred.
- Experience with agile delivery methodologies.
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder communication skills.
- Awareness of SFMC Next and Salesforce Data Cloud architecture, and their implications for legacy SFMC implementations.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
- Experience integrating SFMC with Adobe Experience Cloud or other MarTech stacks.
- Exposure to Data Cloud / CDP concepts.
- Hands-on exposure to SFMC Next (Marketing Cloud Next Generation) or early adopter/pilot programs.
- Familiarity with Einstein GPT and AI-powered content/journey capabilities in Marketing Cloud.
- Prior consulting/system integrator background.

- Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
- Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
