We are seeking a professional like you to join our Performance Chemical Division supporting our Engineering Department at the McIntosh, AL Site. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the correct design, procurement, and installation of instrument and electrical equipment in compliance with regulatory and BASF standards. This includes executing Capital projects for the site, encompassing both the Instrument and Electrical disciplines. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and support to operations and maintenance teams as needed.
As a Electrical Instrument Control Engineer, you create chemistry by...
- Providing Capital project Instrumentation and Electrical design for small to medium-sized projects.
- Offering guidance to I/E Designers and third-party I/E engineers when additional resources are needed.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations, while also providing necessary support to the Central Gulf Regional Service Center.
- Conducting thorough quality checks on all design packages and ensuring seamless coordination between different design disciplines.
- Obtaining Vendor Quotes and providing technical support for the procurement process of I/E equipment.
- Collaborating with the purchasing department to manage Alliance contracts and coordinating with Maintenance and Operations personnel.
- Inspecting offsite fabrication, including conducting factory acceptance tests, and producing complete issued for construction (IFC) design packages.
- Taking the lead in site Standards Teams, such as Electrical Classification, and overseeing check-out, commissioning, and start-up support for capital projects.
If you...
- Have a Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Electrical or Instrument Engineering.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience working in Engineering, Maintenance, and Process Improvement within a chemical plant.
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills in effectively planning and allocating resources to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Exhibit a proven track record in successfully managing and prioritizing tasks.
