Objectives:
Global Digital Services (GDS) is supporting BASF business in Digitalization transformation. Our MISSION is to drive forward the digital transformation of BASF, providing innovative, global and high-quality digital products and services through a strong agile culture.
Part of the GDS strategy, BASF (China) Company Ltd (Nanjing branch) is one of the regional Digital Hub for China.
HR Solutions Asia Pacific is a GDS product team which provides digitalised solutions for Human Experience Management (HXM) requirements for companies in Asia Pacific. The main objectives of this role would be:
- Support HR China teams in the ongoing applications especially on technical applications for payroll and time management, recruitment and travel expense applications, or any other HR solutions used in China
- Guide and support the internal business partners in defining and meeting their strategic roadmap and changes in legal requirements; understanding their requirements and translating into the best-in-class Solution Designs and ensure it is in alignment with the GDS strategy
- Defines process and architecture-related designs and optimizations on Business Solutions in close alignment with HR Solutions architecture and GDS strategy
- Execute end to end regional and/or global project/change requests for the area of Hire to Retire for China
Main Task:
1) Business Solution Design
- Gather requirements and defines a sustainable solution design and owns the solution design document – consisting of current/new requirements specifications / functional design and architectural parts of high-level technical design.
- Drive for innovative solutions that fits into the global Hire to Retire portfolio and benefits the internal business partners
- Consulting on solution design for implementation of project requirements in accordance to the defined roadmap by Enterprise Architecture and ensure compliance with the BASF’s Cyber Security Framework and Data Protection guidelines.
- Execution of studies in the preliminary stage of projects including evaluation of purchased software
- Ensures overall quality assurance for solution designs
o For architectural integrity of BASF Group business solutions and application landscape
o For business solution design document in our area of expertise to ensure fit to
a) Customer Requests
b) Process Architecture and
c) IS Strategy & Enterprise Architecture
d) BASF Cyber Security Framework e) Data Protection guidelines
- Analyse, consult and optimize business process solutions including piloting/setup of new solutions/technology
- Collaborate with different business partners, e.g. process architecture, IS strategy & enterprise architecture, internal customers (BEX communities, regional supply chain platforms, strategic supply chain management, business units and competence center)
- Regular exchange and global alignment of solution design with other solution consultants in the regions
2) Application Development and Support
- Conduct meetings with the business to identify solutions and areas of improvement
- Translate business requirements to a feasible and sustainable design of the system
- Design and deliver the technical HR configurations and customization to meet any new business process design and application requirements
- Validate the design with the stakeholders to ensure that the design satisfies the requirements
- Ensure change requests or project deliveries are as per requirements and on time within budget
Job Requirements:
- Completed university degree in Information Technology or equivalent
- SAP HR certification preferred
- At least 5-7 years working experience with at least 2 implementations of payroll and time management
- At least 3 years of HR processes in a global/regional based organization
- Exposure to Success Factors cloud solutions (ie: Employee Central) will be added advantage
- Expert knowledge of the functionality of Human Experience Management (HXM) processes and applications, with Payroll and Time Management knowledge; experience with S4 SAP HR would be preferred
- Experienced and familiar with end to end Hire to Retire processes in China, especially with Wechat and Wecom platforms
- Strong Digital mindset to accelerate BASF Digitalization transformation journey and China’s HR strategy
- Proficient in native Chinese Mandarin language (written and spoken)
- Good English skills (written and spoken)
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills in an international team combined with a very high level of customer orientation
- Well-developed proactive and self-driven character
- High sense of responsibility to have conflict awareness and management skills
Nice to have:
- Knowledge with Workflow, BAPI, User-exits, Sapscript/Smartform, ABAP Queries,BADI, BDC is preferred
- Any experience with API, Web Services and alike (especially integration to WeChat) will be added advantage
