We are looking for a Reliability Manager to join our CP team in Port Arthur, TX.

The Petrochemicals division is the starting point of BASF’s petrochemicalbased value chains throughout the regions. The division manufactures and markets a broad portfolio of high-quality basic chemicals and tailored specialties for internal and external customers.

The Reliability Manager will coordinate the development, execution of asset strategies to drive overall asset reliability improvements at the BASF Port Arthur, TX, site, and will monitor for proper design, installation, and repair of mechanical equipment, piping systems and I&E, consistent with regulatory and BASF standards.

This leader will develop the team, leveraging their full potential, and will provide guidance and support, assisting the team in navigating challenges, solving problems, and making informed decisions. The Reliability Manager will also provide feedback, mentorship, and coaching, enhancing the performance of both individuals and the team.

As a Reliability Manager - Port Arthur, TX, you create chemistry by...

  • Providing guidance and coaching to the team to successfully ensure safety and reliability goals, and at the same time, developing the team members engaged on those actions
  • Understanding the regulatory and BASF internal requirements and implementing a management system to ensure full compliance and sustainability
  • Managing the Bad Actor Program, Criticality analysis and Evaluation of Plant Asset Condition, ensuring proper execution and the necessary resources
  • Overseeing the inspection program execution avoiding any delay and managing the companies executing inspections to ensure quality and productivity
  • Facilitating cross functional Root Cause Failure Analysis for equipment issues, documenting and communicating results to the team
  • Developing and suggesting technical changes, while making the proper alignment with other areas like Engineering, Operations, EHS, as well as Experts from other BASF sites or from stakeholders to review complex issues
  • Assisting in developing, executing and analyzing asset strategies to drive overall asset reliability improvements

If you...

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Have 10 years of experience in the petrochemical or chemical industry
  • Have 5 years of leadership experience
  • Are knowledgeable in API, mechanical integrity and specific equipment used in the petrochemical/chemical industry
  • Possess good communication skills and the ability to develop yourself and others
