We are seeking a transportation and distribution professional to join our North America Petrochemicals Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Transportation and Distribution Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall efficiency and performance of bulk and package shipments for our Petrochemicals businesses.
Your scope of responsibilities will include the management of all modes of transportation management which includes, and not limited to, rail contract renewals and budgeting, customer’s operational requirements for trucks or intermodal orders and transportation invoice processing and approval. In addition, you will also be responsible of the investigations of our Non-Conformance Management (NCM) for the transportation and distribution team. You will support our Customer Experience improvement goals by collaborating with all teams within CP and Global Business Services (GBW).
As a Supply Chain Analyst - Houston, TX, you create chemistry by...
- Interfacing between Product Manager, Transportation Management Operations and Procurement team to manage all transportation modes, bulk and package lanes, from product shipping origins to their destinations.
- Monitoring the carrier performance in these lanes and work with Transportation Procurement and the Command Center to improve delivery service levels to customers.
- Managing the Petrochemicals rail fleet leasing and contracting and all transportation modes (truck, rail & Intermodal), customer’ special requirements and requests by working with Customer Care to develop a method for on-going TMS master data clean-up and accuracy.
- Performing Transportation and Distribution Planning analysis and cost tracking to identify areas for service improvements, cost optimization/reduction, and process improvements. These efforts will be driven from an analytical approach and monitored by Transportation & Distribution Performance KPIs.
- Driving strategic decisions for the business and looking for digitalization solutions utilizing Power BI, you will lead the implementation and sustainability of truck, intermodal and rail projects and innovations (ex. Network Optimization, Track & Trace, Temperature Monitoring, Delivery Prioritization, etc.)
- Managing the transportation invoice audit and approval process in CASS Information System Freight Payment. Validating costs, invoice errors and/or rejections in order to work with carriers and our corporate service platforms to correct, validate, or automate their resolution.
- Defining, documenting, and maintaining all SPASS, RAMP and SAP material master data configuration standards. This includes developing and executing reports for monitoring master data, and maintenance in SPASS, and acting as a point of contact within Petrochemicals for master data related needs.
- Participating and leading projects, meetings, and implementations with internal business partners, service platforms, customers, and external service providers.
- Driving efficiency within the department, you will establish and improve work procedures and processes that support the company and departmental standards.
If you...
- Have a bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Possess strong working knowledge of SAP R/3 and the sales order (OTC) and purchase order (PTP) processes
- Have strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
- Are skilled working with digitalization solutions utilizing Power BI
